William Heuseler

William Heuseler is an attorney and the founder of Heuseler Advisory, an independent family advisory firm. He has over 25 years of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth families on cross-border matters, trust and estate, tax and asset protection planning, family and corporate governance, and other wealth strategies.

Mr. Heuseler holds an LL.B. from the Faculdade Nacional de Direito of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), attended the LL.M. program in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law at Fordham University School of Law, and studied Trust Law at King's College London. He also holds an Executive MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an Executive MBA in Management and Leadership from the University of São Paulo (USP/ESALQ), a certification in Management, Leadership and Conflict Administration from Harvard Business School, and a postgraduate degree in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Faculdade Líbano.

Mr. Heuseler sits on several family boards, is a Young Patron of MASP, and serves on the advisory board of the Humanitas360 Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing violence, improving quality of life, promoting citizen engagement, and enhancing institutional transparency across the Americas; the advisory board of SCAR (Sociedade Cultura Artística), a Brazilian cultural organization in Santa Catarina promoting artistic education and performance in music, theater, dance, and visual arts through schools, orchestras, social projects, and events; and the board of administration of Instituto Alana, a philanthropic organization focused on children's rights and sustainability through education, advocacy, and community initiatives.

He is a founding member and first President of STEP Brazil and an active committee member; a former board member of IBTB, IBTC, and the American Repertory Ballet's Board of Trustees; and frequently writes on cross-border planning for Brazilian families while speaking at conferences in the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
