Richard Wilson KC has been involved in many of the leading trusts and estates cases in England and the principal offshore jurisdictions, including Futter v HMRC, Gany v Rangoonwala and the Dawson-Damer litigation. He is currently instructed by one of the parties in the Wong litigation in Bermuda and notably led the team acting for Tony Wang in his successful appeal to the Privy Council in what is now the leading case on the ‘improper purpose’ rule. His cases frequently involve private international law and cross-border elements and he acts for clients based across the globe.

Richard also has an extensive advisory practice, acting for trustees, protectors and beneficiaries in non-contentious situations, assisting with advice and drafting in a wide range of planning and restructuring cases.
