Laura Barrios
Ms. Laura Barrios is a Senior Associate at Morgan & Morgan and works in the firm´s Estate Planning and Corporate Services Department assisting companies on efficient corporate structures and financial institutions in compliance matters. Ms. Barrios has been invited as guest speaker in multiple conferences and is considered one of the most knowledgeable CRS and FATCA reporting experts in the region. She has been an advisor to the Panamanian Government in tax treaty negotiations, in the implementation of fiscal and transparency regulations, as well as policies that favour Panama´s jurisdiction. Ms. Barrios spearheads a newly formed department that advises regional family offices and high net-worth individuals on international tax issues and offers, among its portfolio of products and services, both Professional and SMART Funds through MMG Fund Services (Bahamas) Ltd.
